Iām running for reelection!
Four years ago, I laid out a positive vision for the future of Stokes County: a community united in service, centered around positivity, and grounded in faith. Since then, I've led your sheriff's office in doing just that.
According to a recent survey of Stokes residents, 89% of you feel our county is a safe place to live. That's due in part to several initiatives we've introduced over the last six years.
One of those initiatives, the Stokes County Sheriff's Office App, helps keep you more informed about what's going on. We created the first-ever Stokes County Sheriff's Office Citizen's Academy to educate you on all our office does each and every day. I also implemented increased training opportunities for all our personnel, because better training means better service for you.
We've updated critical equipment like bullet proof vests, firearms, software, and cutting-edge investigative tools to ensure ours is a modern, efficient law enforcement agency. At my direction, we've coordinated large-scale, multi-agency active shooter trainings to help protect our students. And we've increased home monitoring of violators on the sex offender registry to ensure compliance with the law.
One point I'm very proud of: there have been no unsolved murders under my tenure as your sheriff. And while we are solving crimes, we're also protecting victims' rights from the initial investigation through the criminal justice process.
Its a record we can all be proud of, and one we can build on. Over the course of the next few weeks, I'm looking forward to meeting many of you, sharing my vision for Stokes, and hearing your ideas and concerns.
The Republican primary is Tuesday, March 3rd. I'd be honored to earn your vote!
